Welcome to the Manchester Digital Roster page
Open only to paid-up members of Manchester Digital, the Roster acts as a recommended supplier list for customers looking for trusted suppliers from a wide range of disciplines including creative, marketing and media, through to technical, software and ICT.
Members registering for the Roster can select a ‘Competency Tag’ relating to a particular specialism. There is no limit to the number of tags that can be applied for. As part of the registration process applicants will be asked to provide the name of two customers as well as a description of the product or service supplied.
Following reference checks carried out internally by Manchester Digital, successful applicants will be awarded a Roster Badge which can be carried on their website and stationary as a way of telling potential customers that they are a quality supplier in a named discipline, they have customers who are happy to endorse them and that they adhere to Manchester Digital’s Code of Practice.
Competency Tags are £100 each but for a limited time Manchester Digital is offering members the opportunity to apply for them on a ‘buy one get one free’ basis. Tags expire after 3 years.
Following an initial period of registration the Roster will be widely promoted to the regions business community.

How do I apply for a Manchester Digital Roster Badge?
To apply you need to:
- Be a paid up member of Manchester Digital.
- Choose a name - 'Competency Tag' - for the area of expertise or service supplied - e.g. 'Web Design'. The name you choose is entirely up to you but will be checked with your referees.
- Supply the names of two reference customers that you have worked for in the last year that will recommend your services in the field you have named. This will be checked with them but they will not be named in your entry.
- Supply a 'Sector Tag' for each of the two customers, that describes them, their area of business or what type of organisation they are e.g. 'Charity', 'Medical Research', 'Fashion Retail'. You can make this as broad or specific as you like. It will be checked with the referees.
- For each of the two customers, supply a description of the service or product you supplied - up to 100 words. You should not name the referee in the description. Each description will be checked with the corresponding referee by Manchester Digital.
- Agree to abide by the Code of Practice.
- Pay a fee - £100 for each competency tag (buy one get one free offer currently applies).
What information will be displayed on my Roster entry?
The following information will be displayed:
- Your name and contact details.
- The Competency Tag.
- The year and month you obtained the Tag.
- The Sector Tags of your referees.
- The descriptions of work.
(Please note - your reference customers will not be named in your Roster entry.)
